George J. Shamy Jr., Managing Partner
George J. Shamy Jr. is a results-oriented litigator who has achieved the designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney from the New Jersey Supreme Court. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and his law degree from Seton Hall University. Mr. Shamy is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. He has over 30 years of experience in personal injury, business and commercial law, consumer fraud, employment law, and real estate.
T. K. Shamy, Managing Partner
T. K. Shamy followed in the family tradition and obtained his bachelor degree from the University of Colorado, then earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 1987. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and United States District Court, District of New Jersey that same year. Mr. Shamy is a member of the New Brunswick, Middlesex County, and New Jersey State Bar Associations, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Shamy has devoted his 22-year practice to personal injury, business and commercial law, banking law, consumer fraud, and real estate. He has additionally served as an assistant city attorney for the City of New Brunswick since 1989.
James R. Shamy, Associate
James R. Shamy is dedicated to providing personal service to his clients. He joined the firm as an associate in September 2007 after completing a judicial clerkship in the New Jersey Superior Court of Middlesex County with the Honorable Edward J. Ryan, J.S.C. His practice areas include real estate law, personal injury, consumer fraud, criminal law, and business law. Mr. Shamy graduated from Seton Hall University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He then graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2006. Mr. Shamy is admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and is a current member of the New Brunswick, Middlesex County, and New Jersey State Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
Joseph J. Catanese, Of Counsel
Joseph J Catanese maintains an "of counsel" relationship with the firm, which means that he is affiliated with the firm but is not a partner or associate. Mr. Catanese received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University and was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1999.
